Fix “Server Model SSI.htm” error in Dreamweaver CS4

Add a comment April 1st, 2009

Today,  when I was trying to run Dreamweaver CS4, I got the following error:

The following translators were not loaded due to errors:
Server Model SSI.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.

I don’t know why it was giving me this error, but I got the solution :) . If you are also getting the same error, let’s read the article below to fix it ;)

Let’s fix it:

  1. Close the Dreamweaver, if it is already open.
  2. Open this folder: “C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_US\Configuration”
  3. Delete the file “WinFileCache-7A9586CB.dat
  4. Done! Lets start the Dreamweaver :)

Above steps should fix this issue else please let me know through your comments. I’ll try to fix it for you ;)

    Thanks it WORK :)
    Found in :…/Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\fr_FR\Configuration

    “C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\[LANG]\Configuration”

Just do a search on your computer for WinFileCache. Make sure it is in the Dreamweaver CS4 folder and it reads WinFileCache-(whatever the #’s are).dat and delete that one. I had to too C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_US\Configuration

    finally found that .dat file.

Hey thanks a bunch for this fix. This is the first “bug” I have had using dreamweaver CS4. I suspect my problem originated with a collapsible spry panel that I modified.

Hi, I’m using Dreamweaver MX2004 on Windows 7. I can’t attach jpeg’s to my pages, seemingly due to this error.
I can’t follow the path listed above, the “AppData” folder doesn’t show up. Maybe this is different in Windows 7?

    Thanks Eduardo :)

Perfect, fixed the problem for me.

Just a note that “Application Data” may be a hidden folder.

  11. January 15th, 2010 at 20:36 | #11

    it works! Thanks so much!

Thanks everybody! I didn’t know about the hidden folders, that’s what was causing my grief. Now it’s fixed and working beautifully. The file name wasn’t exactly as listed above, but it included “cache” and was a .dat file.

Having this problem. Deleted the .dat file inside the mentioned folder. Doesn|t seem to fix the problem though. I have another error showing in the same dialod box:
“The following translators were not loaded due to errors:
Server Model SSI.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.
SpryWidget.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.”

    Can you help?

    Only an observation:
The path in Windows 7 (Win7) is
    C:Users[User]AppDataRoamingAdobeDreamweaver CS4en_USConfiguration

And the file number may be diferent!

    AWESOME. THANX.
with XP i found the dat file at c:documents and settings/user/application data/adobe/dreamweaver cs4/en-us/configuration.
It was a WinFileCache-xxxxxx.dat file but had slightly different numbers than posted above.
Stopped the server module SSi.html error message and i can copy and paste again. top stuff :)

The file keeps changing name. I searched for Winfilecache.dat and it showed up when you've enabled hidden files!
